From the jury

This was a refreshing glimpse back to many of our origin places, as many of us lived and worked in the upper reaches of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine before our Pacific Northwest design chapters began.  Given the power of the natural aspects of this region, we especially appreciated the projects that told the story of context and place and showed how buildings and landscapes worked together and how old and new combined to create new experiences.
